Enfeksiyon ilk konvansiyonel s\u0131tma h\u0131zl\u0131 test ile tespit edildi ve daha sonra herhangi bir pozitif \u015f\u00fcpheli olgu a\u00e7\u0131k\u00e7a mikroskop alt\u0131nda kan testleri ile do\u011fruland\u0131. Hatta baz\u0131lar\u0131 be\u015f olas\u0131 s\u0131tma patojeninden ikisiyle \u00e7ifte enfeksiyon ge\u00e7irdi. T\u00fcm yeti\u015fkinlere 18 aktif damla ve 9 mms ile t\u00fcm \u00e7ocuklar i\u00e7mek i\u00e7in bir kerelik doz verildi. 24 saat sonra, do\u011frulanan 154 s\u0131tma hastas\u0131n\u0131n sadece 11&#8217;i s\u0131tma pozitif test edildi. Di\u011ferleri de semptom ve semptomlardan ar\u0131nd\u0131. 11 hala enfekte onlar her \u015feyi sarho\u015f olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 s\u00f6yledi veya yutma k\u0131sa bir s\u00fcre sonra kustu.
